Dear Friends,

Some really awesome things have been happening over the last few months in my life. I’ve been praying a lot about my summer plans, and was expecting to just be in Tucson working, maybe taking a class or two, and getting more involved with helping out the youth group at my church. Here’s the thing about prayer though. If you pray to God asking him to do crazy stuff in your life (and yes, that has been my prayer the last few weeks), God will provide crazy things.

Let’s get to the point. Last week I was presented with the opportunity (on very short notice) to go to Thailand this summer for eight weeks on a summer missions project, and I’m going to take that opportunity.  A. As a sign of faith.  B. Because it’s something different and exciting.  C. The work I will be doing out there sounds awesome, and will hopefully help a lot of people.

The project, which is run by New Missions Systems International, starts May 25th and will go through July 28th. We will be helping a Thai pastor in a village in Northern Thailand at an orphanage, teaching English and Bible and leading daily devotionals. We will also be helping the children and teens there do outreach in the community. We hope to build good relationships with the people we come in contact with and spread the love of Christ.

I’m starting to see that amazing things happen through prayer, and it is one of the great things God has given us. So I would be honored and grateful if you would pray for me regularly while I’m on this project. I know that your prayers will help me and our ministry significantly.

Another way you can help support me is financially. The project will cost a little over $3000 dollars, and on such short notice the cost seems at least a little daunting. Any financial support would be greatly appreciated.

So that’s what I’m going to be doing this summer. I’m insanely excited about what’s going to happen and what God will do through me. I hope and pray that you will pray about supporting me through prayer and/or financial giving. I can’t wait to let you all know what happens over the course of my summer. If you have any questions, please call me at (520) 360-0166, or e-mail james.

By his grace,

James Krepps
